Stelvio National Park
The first park in Trentino and one of the oldest in Italy (1935), it includes parts of the neighbouring provinces of Bolzano and Sondrio and lies next to the Engadina National Park in Switzerland.
The Trentino section covers about 193 square kilometres of land uninhabited by humans (the upper valleys of Rabbi and Pejo) and contains glaciers, lakes and mountain streams; the alpine environment is harsh with many peaks topping 3,000 metres (Visitors' Centres at Cogolo and Rabbi).

The park is now run by a Consortium created by the Provinces of Trento and Bolzano, the Region of Lombardy and the Italian State.
